Introducing the first ever Riata Showcase Horse Sale, Sunday, December 8th, 2024, Las Vegas, NV.
The sale will be held in conjunction with the World Series Finale and the Riata Open to the World roping.
When the South Point Equestrian Center shifted its schedule to add another day to the Ariat World Series of
Team Roping Finale, the gap in the schedule provided the chance for Riata—already the $50,000 sponsor of the
WSTR's Open to the World—to debut its first-ever Riata Horse Sale. The hospitality of the South Point and the
invitation by WSTR to join the richest event in all of western sports will allow Riata to host a sale featuring
the outstanding progeny of the Riata Stallions bred to perform at the highest level in the sport of Team Roping.
Livestreaming begins Sunday morning, December 8th starting with the Riata Horse Sale, featuring 50 top
horses, hand selected to showcase in front of the most engaged set of buyers in the industry. True to the gambling
spirit of Las Vegas, all the Calcutta teams from the Open to the World will be auctioned with the horses. The Ariat
WSTR's Riata Open to the World Finale will follow the sale, providing five rounds of high-stakes action inside the
South Point. Of course, this is Vegas, and maybe, just maybe, there might be a little entertainment mixed in there
somewhere.
$100,000 Riata Horse Sale Incentive for Horses Purchased at the Riata Buckle Sale.
Starting in 2025, the horse sale incentive will be awarded to the top earning rope horses at the Riata Championships.
The $100,000 will be split between horses with earnings. In the event that no horse sale horses place in the event,
money will roll to the next year.

Roping previews for finished horses will occur Saturday afternoon. For this very first sale, we are requesting that all
consignments be at least 90 days under saddle by date of the sale.
