to be," says Terry Wengert, owner of TW Megga Cat.
When Terry Wengert received the opportunity for TW Megga Cat
to be a 2025 Riata Incentive Stallion, he didn't hesitate. The 2019 son of Metallic
Cat which is out of an own daughter of Peptoboonsmal, Peptos Church Mouse fits
the bill.
"I wanted to find the perfect incentive program to get TW
Megga Cat in," says Terry. "I began researching the team roping incentive
programs. It seems that many of the
popular team roping incentive programs require a high-end trainer / roper for
horses to be successful. When I learned more about the Riata Stallion Incentive,
it just made sense, and I knew we wanted to be a part of it. This program adds
another level of competition to the rope horse industry. Their focus is to
breed better rope horses and the Riata Championship is a WSTR qualifier,
allowing average ropers to win. I believe that Riata is going to help take the
roping industry to the next level."
TW Megga Cat, better known as Preacher, is a different beast
than most cutting bred horses. He wears a size one shoe, is big boned, has a
phenomenal disposition, and with a shot of the great stallion Dash For Cash, he
can really run! He crosses well on many
types of mares, and he passes all those wonderful characteristics on to his
colts.
Aside from his 2025 Riata Stallion, Terry has an Angus cow
calf operation where he is a partner with his older brother Wes and works with
his son Skyler, who is a partner in the horse operation in Snowflake, Arizona. The
ranch allows their colts to be ranch raised and those that stick around long
enough have lots of miles and ranch work done on them before they hit the
arena. Terry strongly believes that is a
huge advantage in making great horses!
Terry has also built a successful practice as a Financial Advisor
and is a partner in the Registered Investment Advisory firm, Summit Global
Private Wealth which is headquartered in Bountiful, Utah. With 31 years of
experience and a team of advisors, Terry's firm assists clients build and

TW Megga Cat's babies are available for sale as well as
outside breeding to mares.
