Riata Inks First Incentive Sponsorship With Hickory Holly Time

The Riata Buckle has signed its very first horse sponsorship with DT Horses and Hickory Holly Time. The Hickory Holly Time Incentive will include $40,000 for the stallion's top four money earning progeny in the futurity ropings and futurity incentives during the 2023 Riata Buckle this November in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
DT Horses is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. With over 15 years of experience in the team roping industry, DT Horses has bred and raised some of the top horses in the rope horse world. In 2022, Hickory Holly Time was the Riata Buckle stallion of the year with offspring collecting more than $200,000 at the inaugural event.
"I believe our incentive program will support our competitors and breeders," Dean Tuftin, owner of Hickory Holly Time, said. "We know Riata Buckle is focusing on all age horses, but we have always been about our young horses and the HHT Incentive will be focused on the two futurities and the futurity portion of the all age ropings. Our number one goal with this incentive is to say thank you to those who have believed in Hickory Holly Time over the years as well as anyone stepping up to support horses in the team roping industry."
