DT Horses Increases Riata Buckle’s Hickory Holly Time 2024 Incentive to $50,000

DT Horses will pay Riata Buckle ropers winning on Hickory
Holly Time offspring some $50,000 in 2024, an increase of $10,000 over its 2023
campaign.
Announced last January, the Hickory Holly Time Incentive was
the first of its kind in the rope horse business. Only Hickory Holly Time
offspring competing at the 2023 Riata Buckle were eligible for the money,
paying out bonus funds to the four highest winning HHT colts at the event.
"At the 2023 Riata Buckle Championships this past November,
Hickory Holly Time rope horses collected $72,000 in Riata earnings across
divisions," Riata Buckle's Denny Gentry said. "The sponsorship really didn't
raise too many roper eyebrows until the winners were announced, and the
incentive bonus had a huge impact on what ropers were able to take home. With
this incentive Hickory Holly Time has posted over $300,000 in earnings from
Riata Buckle alone, and the stallion will continue his rise up the all-time producer
list."
The Riata Buckle program—with its extensive reach into every
level of roping competitor—aligns with DT Horses' goals to see horses at the
Ariat World Series of Team Roping Finale, the National Finals Rodeo, in cow
horse competitions and barrel races and everywhere in between.
"I see how this incentive program supports our competitors
and breeders in every division, and it worked so well we are raising our
incentive to $50,000 for the 2024 season," Dean Tuftin, owner of Hickory Holly
Time and DT Horses said. "We have always been about our young horses, and we
will continue to place priority on the futurity incentives, but this was a good
split with two futurity champions and the other two horses from the All-Age.

in Hickory Holly Time, and anyone stepping up to support horses in the team
roping industry."
