Eric and Holly Edwards come from backgrounds in rodeo. Until recently horses had been put on the backburner while they focused efforts on their youngest daughter's passion for softball.  But now their daughter in is her freshman year at Arkansas Tech, playing division 2 softball and the Edwards have jumped in with both feet and put their focus back on horses.

In February of 2022, Edwards purchased Riata Buckle Stallion, Repete Offender. Well, Eric purchased the 15-hand stallion and then informed his wife, Holly, of their new acquisition. It took Holly a few days to come to terms with the newly acquired stallion, but after her first experience with Repete Offender, she was in love.

"I decided to ride him," says Holly. "I could tell he was an incredible horse from the moment I sat in the saddle. He's got such phenomenal manners and disposition."

Repete Offender's impeccable mind, along with his strong built, athleticism, size and quick footed abilities are being passed along to his offspring. His babies are known to be easy to start, with a level head and no funny business about them. His oldest foal crop is now 5 and showing up in different rodeo arenas.

The Edwards family's 40-acre ranch is what Eric calls "under construction." They are currently building their dream barn. The barn has all the bells and whistles, including heat and air and is fully custom with block wall stalls, 2 large foaling sheds in back with larger stalls and a vet area with stocks. Then, where once a baseball field stood, the Edwards put in an arena. And pastures for their dozen or so broodmares, with backgrounds ranging from cow horse to running blood. Broodmares are own daughters of A Streak of Fling, Ivory James, Woodbridge, FDD Dynasty, Favorite Cartel, Duponte, among others and granddaughters of Shining Spark and Frenchmans Guy.  The Edwards even have a few AQHA horses on the racetrack and in training at barrel racing barns.

"We have learned a lot in the last 2 years," says Eric. "We have been pleasantly surprised about meeting so many great people in this industry that we have made friendships and connections with. Holly and I are very blessed to be able to have our ranch life. When I was growing up, I was the 8th kid in my family. Today, I am the American dream. I tell people to outwork everyone else and whole-heartedly care, and you will be successful with what you do."
